The customer will hire wintersports equipment from „Ski & Board Margreiter“ (Stefan Margreiter GmbH).
The customer will accept full responsibility in the use of the equipment and for any repairs necessary as a result of obvious improper use.
Hire equipment can be exchanged in all 3 shops of Ski & Board Margreiter in Niederau, Oberau or Auffach.
Ski/snowboard-exchange within the same category:
after the first ski/snowboard-exchange there is an exchange charge of Euro 10,-- by each extra change
The equipment has to be returned to the original shop from where it was hired from.
It is important, that the exact articles (same barcodes) must be returned.
The hirer of the equipment will be held responsible for any breakage to skis – unless the damage has not occurred due to the improper use of said equipment.
Lost or stolen hire equipment must be paid for by the customer. In the case of theft, it is absolutely essential to make a statement to the local police and to present a copy of this statement to the hire shop. Equipment can be insured by paying an additional 10 % of the hire cost (= protection package) . If equipment is lost or stolen it is absolutely necessary to make a statement to the local police.
Without a protection package the prices for lost/stolen/broken equipment are:
If hired equipment has been taken by mistake, a deposit will be requested by the ski hire shop as a safeguard. The amount of deposit depends on the category (see mentioned above). If the equipment resurfaces within 4 weeks of the disappearance, the deposit will be refunded. If incorrect poles are returned we charge
The cost of hire will be calculated according to full hire days.
Half days are calculated only for the hire of snowboards, snowboard boots, cross country ski sets, snow blades and big foot – if rented out for just a half day.
For articles which are hired for the first time after 14.30 h, there will be no charge for this first day – except if the equipment is hired for only this one day. Equally, there will be no charge for the day on which the equipment is returned, as long as it is before 10.00 h – except if the equipment is hired for only this one day.
The prices for ski boots and snowboard boots are only valid when hired with skis or snowboard. The prices for the sole hire of ski boots or snowboard boots are presented in each hire shop on the desk.

We accept no liability for customer’s property left at the premises.
Ski bindings are set according to the exact personal details of the customer. The form containing these details must be signed by the customer signifying agreement.
The correct setting of the ski bindings can drastically reduce the number of accidents and injuries, but cannot completely eliminate all risks.
With this signature, the customer will confirm the duration of hire, the correct choice of hired equipment and the proper handing over of said equipment in faultless condition ready for hire.
The customer hereby recognises the conditions of hire and agrees to his data being stored in the course of the process.
